쓰레기같은 대화라는

비난이 가득했는데요, 

그 내용에 대해 가져왔습니다.

토론 반응

“That was a hot mess inside a dumpster fire inside a train wreck. That was the worst debate I have ever seen,”  Jake Tapper said. “In fact, it wasn’t even a debate, it was a disgrace.” Tapper later added, “The American people lost tonight, because that was horrific.” “You used some high-minded language,” Bash said to Tapper. “I’m just gonna say it like it is, that was a sh** show. And, you know, we’re on cable, we can say that. Apologies for being a little bit crude, but that is really the phrase that I’m getting from people on both sides of the aisle on text, and it’s the only phrase that I can think of to really describe it.”

이번 토론은 내가 본 것 중 가장 최악의 토론이야.

 

사실 토론이라고 하기에 수치스러워.

미국인들은 이 토론을 본 저녁은 다 시간낭비야. 

 

난 그렇게 고상하게 말 못하겠고,

그냥 말하자면 이 토론은 그냥 sh**이었어.

토론, 중요했던 순간

One moment in particular that stood out from the debate, was when Wallace asked Trump if he’d be willing to condemn white supremacists and militia groups, and tell them to stand down and not add to the violence like what happened in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Portland, Oregon. Trump said he was willing, but failed to do so.  “I’m willing to do anything,” Trump said. “I want to see peace.” “Then do it, sir,” Wallace pushed. “Say it,” Biden added. “You wanna call ‘em—what do you want to call ‘em? Give me a name,” Trump responded. Wallace told Trump to name white supremacists, while Biden specified the violent right-wing white supremacist group Proud Boys, which Trump did, but he didn’t condemn them. Proud Boys celebrated the shoutout online, and took it as a rallying cry and a call to arms.  This was the only moment that mattered to CNN’s Van Jones.

토론에서 두드러졌던 점은,

윌리스가 트럼프에게 백인 우월주의자들과 민병대를

기꺼이 비난할 수 있는지 물었다는 점이다. 

위스콘신주 케노샤나 오리건주 포틀랜드에서 처럼
폭력을 더하지말고 물러나라고 말했다. 

 

 

트럼프는 무엇이든 할것이라고 말해다.
그러면서, 평화를 보고 싶다고 덧붙였고, 

그럼 그렇게 하라며 윌리스가 밀어붙였다.
말하세요, 라고 바이든이 이어 말했다. 

그들을 뭐라고 부르고 싶나. 라고 트럼프가 대응하였다.

윌리엄은 백인우월주의자의 이름을 대라고 말을했고, 

바이든은 폭력적인 우파 백인 우월주의 단체
프라우드 보이즈를 말했으나,

트럼프는 그들을 규탄하지 않았다. 

 

트럼프는 프라우드 보이즈에게 물러나고 대기해라
라고 말을 했고,
그들은 온라인에서 이 말을 축하했다. 

 

 

“And he gave a wink and a nod to a racist, Nazi, murderous organization that is now celebrating online, that is now saying, ‘We have a go-ahead.’ Look at what the Proud Boys are doing right now online because the President of the United States refused to condemn white supremacy. That’s the only thing that happened tonight.”

 

 

이에 존스는, 트럼프가 아이들, 모두의 가족
그리고 세계 무대에서 백인 우월주의를
비난하기를 거부했다고 말했다. 

그리고 그는 백인 우월주의를 비난할 수 있는
여러번의 기회가 있었다고 말했다. 

또한 백인 우월주의 단체는 온라인에서

축하하고 있다고 말했다. 
미국 대통령이 백인 우월주의를 비난하기를 거부했고
그게 유일하게 오늘 토론회에서 일어난 일이다
라고 밝혔다. 

 

 

“He was asking the president to do something that he knows the president doesn’t like to do. Which is say something bad about people who support him, right?” When pressed who it is Trump doesn’t want to say anything bad about because they support him, and if it was white supremacists, Santorum conceded, “Yeah, the white supremacists.”

릭 산토룸 전 공화당 상원의원은 상황을 다르게
봐야한다고 말하면서, 

월리스가 이 질문을 한 것은 잘못이라고 주장했다.

그는 대통령이 이는 단지 미국 대통령의 현 지지자가
백인이기에 백인 우월주의자를 규탄할 수 없는 것을
알고 질문을 한 것이라며 반박했다.
